Halloween Frolic

Boo!

So, we didn't miss Halloween this year. I know you were worried! We had a naughty time on Saturday night with our friends who all gathered in Yeosu. This town is an hour south from us. We had a blast.

We first gathered at Virginia's house in Suncheon to get our costumes on and get everyone together before we headed to Yeosu. I painted Bryce's face and I donned my suit and mask. Can you guess what we were?

That's right folks- George and his Blood Money. We didn't win best costume. But I think it's because people were afraid of me. (credits go to Stu for the photo and to Chrissy who gave me the Bush idea years ago). Furthermore, since we couldn't be together all evening, I had a mask on the back of my head as well. You know, 'two faced'.

We had quite a few terrific costumes. Again, taking from Stu's shots, I will showcase some rather ingenious costumes. Here is my friend Nicola. Now in New Zealand they don't really do up Halloween like us as far as I know, but she came prepared as "Fan Death":

For those of you not in the know, in Korea there is a popular belief that if you turn on a fan with all of the windows and doors closed you are sure to die. The undercurrent is that fan death is commonly used to explain suicides here, since they are rather a taboo (yet a statistically popular one). Her costume was morbid and fabulous, and won her 2nd prize at the costume contest.

Which leads us to Chad, our new friend over here. For those back in Kingston, Bryce was getting over his resemblance to Greg Tilson all evening. He refused to call him anything but Greg. Anyway, he came as "holy crap" (to use the PG word). There were a whole series of photos taken of different 'crap' positioning. I'll put only 2 up for the sake of time and getting this blog out within two weeks of Halloween.

our new friend Chad, who went as "Holy Crap"(I'm PG13 ing the title) :

Thats right, "Absolute Crap"...and....

"The Crap Hitting the Fan"

There were a bunch more...but blogger can only do so much.

One more thing. See this:

This was the candy jar that you had to guess the number of. All I have to say is that I was off by two. I was over by two. That's right. Not sure what the person who was under by. But I was over by only two. That's all. Just wanted you to know that. Okay.....It doesn't matter anyway...because I'm a diabetic and couldn't have eaten all of them anyway! Just so everyone knows-- by two. T. W. O.

Hope everyone got scared this year! Happy (belated) Halloween!
